What is Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a chronic, non life-threatening gynaecological disorder that can be associated with pelvic pain and infertility.[1]

The disorder is commonly diagnosed in women of childbearing age, however the variability of the symptoms and signs means diagnosis can take a long time – many years, in most instances.

Approximately 6-10% of women in the general population have endometriosis. For women of reproductive age who have endometriosis, the frequency of infertility is 35-50%.[ii]

The diet for endometriosis sufferers has been scientifically proven to reduce the symptoms of endometriosis.
